BARCIK awarded ‘National Environment Medal-2021’

BARCIK receives the national environmental award from the chairman of parliamentary standing committee on environment, forest and climate change ministry Mr. Saber Hossein Chowdhury MP today 5 June, 2022.  The award was given at Bangabandhu International conference center, Dhaka where the Honorable Prime Minister of the government of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina was virtually attended as chief guest in a program to mark the international environment day, 2022.

BARCIK executive director Sukanta Sen receives the award which includes a crest, cheque and certificate on behalf of BARCIK. The program was escorted by the state Minister on environment, forest and climate change ministry Mr. Shahab Uddin MP, state deputy Minister on environment, forest and climate change ministry Ms. Habibun Nahar, MP, State secretary of environment, forest, and climate change ministry Dr. Farhina Ahmed including other government high officials, journalists, development activists and people of different stakes and professions.

BARCIK was given the Environmental Award-2021 for its contribution in the environment related education and campaign activities in Bangladesh. BARCIK since its inception has been facilitating different development activities encouraging community to protect the environment, conserve biodiversity and preserve the nature. It has conducted different researches and published different articles, books and journal on environmental issues.

It is to mention that, BARCIK Dhaka based officials were also present at the award giving ceremony to witness the very prestigious day of BARCIK.
