Youth can be transformed to change makers if they are motivated and encouraged and are given them a space to unlock their potentiality. The youths from Netrakona being facilitated by BARCIK have been doing such humanitarian deeds that leads them to become more confident about the hidden potentiality in them which could bring positive changes in the society. However, with the facilitation support from BARCIK a discussion meeting was recently held in Netrokona where 35 representatives of youths’ organizations participated and shared their good works as well as exchanged experience and views with each other.
These youths have been doing such constructive works in the last two years, ignoring the barriers of society, engaging themselves in humanitarian work in the service of the people. Besides, they are involved in protecting the environment-nature-livestock as well.
The youths shared and highlighted their respective activities to serve human, all life forms and to protect the planet by encouraging people conserving biodiversity and restoring the eco-systems through their eco-friendly works.
While sharing the humanitarian activities that these youths have been doing in the last two9 years SM Yusuf a youth leader said, ‘We have tested the blood groups of 9,600 people so far as humanitarian aid. We have donated blood 321 patients and stood by the people in danger. Niku, a young youth leader is working to protect and conserve the life and habitats of wildlife and domestic animals.’
However, when people did not go out of their house during the pandemic Covid-19, the members of youth’s organizations namely Shishuchaya, Oxygen, Alo Path, General Library, Jagrat Kishori Sangathan, Sapna Sarathi, Kusumkali Youth Organization, Kendua Hridaye, Haor-Nadi-Dhan-Shalik stood by the side of people and run away with food.
The initiatives of these youths have enabled the people in the area to see ray of hopes that in the coming days these youths will be transformed to active and capable leader who can lead the whole nation in the path of progress.
